Privacy Policy

This policy explains the information Lekta handles when you use the mobile app, public website, or support channel.

Information you provide

Depending on how you use Lekta, you may provide account details, role and profile information, course information, lecture titles, support messages, and content you choose to record, upload, save, or generate.

Lecture audio and study content

When you record or upload lecture audio, Lekta processes that content to provide requested features such as transcripts, summaries, flashcards, quizzes, podcast recaps, AI study chat, course study packs, and related review tools. Generated content can be incomplete or wrong, so check important information against the original lecture and official course material.

Account and authentication information

Lekta uses account information to register and authenticate users in the mobile app, protect access to saved material, and respond to account or security requests. Supported sign-in providers may also process information under their own policies.

Usage, device, and diagnostic information

Lekta may process app version, device and operating-system information, screen or feature interactions, subscription state, account role, performance data, and error or crash diagnostics. When analytics is enabled for a build, it may process account identifiers and profile attributes together with app, device, feature-use, and diagnostic information. This information is used to operate, secure, troubleshoot, and improve the service. Lecture audio, transcripts, passwords, and free-form AI messages are not intended to be included as analytics event properties.

Subscriptions

Mobile subscriptions may be processed through the relevant app store and RevenueCat. Lekta receives the subscription and entitlement information needed to unlock features, enforce usage limits, restore purchases, and support billing questions. Lekta does not receive full payment-card details from an app store.

Service providers

Lekta uses service providers for functions such as hosting, storage, authentication, transcription, AI processing, email, analytics, diagnostics, notifications, subscription management, and pre-launch signup collection. The public launch list is hosted and processed by LaunchList; it receives the signup details you submit, such as your name, email address, platform preference, referral information, and technical signup metadata. With website measurement permission, Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, and the TikTok Pixel may receive browser and interaction data used to understand visits and campaign performance. These services process information needed to perform those functions.

Recording permission and consent

You decide what to record or upload. Recording laws and institutional rules vary, and you are responsible for obtaining any consent required from instructors, students, guests, institutions, employers, or other participants before using Lekta to capture or process audio.

Retention and deletion

Information is kept for as long as needed to provide and secure Lekta, meet legal or billing obligations, resolve disputes, and complete supported recovery or deletion workflows. You can use the in-app account-deletion control or email support to request access, correction, export, or deletion. Some records may need to be retained where required for legal, security, billing, or dispute purposes.

Security

Lekta uses technical and organizational controls intended to protect accounts and study material. No online service can guarantee perfect security or uninterrupted availability. Tell us promptly if you believe your account has been compromised.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when the product, providers, or legal requirements change. The date at the top will show the latest revision.
