Using Lekta
You may use Lekta for supported study and teaching workflows. You agree to use the service lawfully, respectfully, and only with content you have the right to record, upload, process, and review.
Recording consent
Laws and institutional policies may require consent before recording a lecture, class, tutorial, meeting, or conversation. You are responsible for obtaining any required permission. Lekta does not give you permission to record where permission is required.
Your account
You are responsible for keeping account credentials secure and for activity under your account. Provide accurate registration information and contact support if you believe the account has been compromised. Student and instructor accounts are created and used in the mobile app; administrative access is separate.
Your content
You retain rights you hold in content you upload or create, subject to any rights held by an instructor, institution, employer, publisher, or another person. You allow Lekta and its service providers to host, process, transform, display, and transmit your content as needed to provide the features you request.
Generated study material
Transcripts, summaries, flashcards, quizzes, podcast recaps, AI chat responses, study plans, and exam-related material may be incomplete or inaccurate. Review important information against the original lecture and official course guidance. Lekta is a study aid and does not guarantee grades, exam results, or academic outcomes.
Plans, trials, and limits
Lekta may offer free allowances, paid subscriptions, institutional access, and plan-specific usage limits. The app shows the applicable store price and purchase terms before payment. Features and usage limits follow the Lekta plan on your account. Trial eligibility, renewals, cancellation, and refunds may be controlled by the purchase channel you use.
Acceptable use
Do not use Lekta to violate privacy, intellectual property, academic integrity, school or workplace policy, platform rules, or law. Do not upload illegal, harmful, deceptive, abusive, or unauthorized material. Do not try to bypass security, access another user’s content, interfere with the service, or avoid plan limits.
Availability and changes
Features may depend on device compatibility, network connection, account status, plan, store availability, and service availability. Lekta may add, remove, rename, limit, or redesign features as the product develops. The service may occasionally be interrupted for maintenance, reliability work, or circumstances outside our control.
Account restriction or termination
Access may be restricted or ended when reasonably necessary for security, abuse prevention, legal compliance, billing, platform integrity, or a serious breach of these terms. You may stop using Lekta and use available account controls to request deletion.
Privacy
The Privacy Policy explains how Lekta handles information. The Cookie Policy explains browser technologies used by the public website.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms when the product, providers, or legal requirements change. The date at the top will show the latest revision. Where appropriate, material changes will be communicated through the service.
